during the folkmore era she talked abt it being folklores 4th bday: "today is the 4 year anniversary of folklore!! when i started making that album, it was 2 days into the pandemic and bc making an album is usually such a cooperate situation u usually get a lot of ppl together, u get to play all these new songs for ur friends or ur band and u begin to kind of be in the same room w the people ur producing w and stuff like that. when we were in the pandemic what ended up happening was i woukd write these songs in my house, jack and aaron...it was such a challenge for us to create but it was so fulfilling. i called my friend who has some woods behind her house, and i was like, can i take some pictures of ur forest and she said yes. it just makes me so happy to think back on that bc we never made anything in that way before that and its cool to know that we could. and the way u guys have embraced this album and the story--it just warms my heart and i so appreciate you. thank u for making this album what it is. bc of u it was the album of the year!"
